What's in the Box: FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam 7th

This is a unit from the game, UC battlefield record. The box art is nice and that shoulder mega particle cannon is really cool.

I love looking through the manual arts but this manual lack little extra content. I think the default colour scheme is nice.

+1 point for multi coloured spurs. After looking at the spurs, I actually want this gundam to be pastel coloured.

And look at the size of the Mega particle Cannon

Shipment from HLJ

I must stop buying new kits. I still have more in the HLJ private warehouse but waiting on the Unicorn Fenix to be released.

08th MS Team is probably my favourite side story in the Gundam universe. I do have the GM sniper and the Ez-8 on order but the first to arrive is the Gouf Custom. I could give this the Aina Sahalin paint scheme instead of the standard paint scheme. not sure houw the MS-06RD-4_Zaku_II_Prototype colours would look on a Gouf.

I'm also watching the current Remastered Gundam Seed Destiny on gundam.info channel. I must say that I really like the Ootori Strike rouge.

I also like the Destiny Impulse from the Destiny MSV files. It's a great unit in SD G Generation Overworld. So bought both the Destiny gundam and Impulse gundam and i'm going to just use Unit 3 colour scheme and put the destiny pack on to the impulse. Still figuring out how to attach the beam boomerang.

The Last 2 things i bought isn't from Gundam series. One is the Rein Weiss Ritter from SRW OG. The box is massive for a 1/144 scale. But i do expect it to be taller than most gundams in 1/144.

The other is the SU-47 Berkut from Muv-luv Alternative Total eclipse. A great mech design in my opinion.

HG 1/144 Extreme Gundam

So my next Gundam, The Extreme Gundam from the game Gundam Extreme Vs.

Yes that is a Guitar for a beam rifle and a guitar case for a shield. The beam rifle can be stored in the shield.

I painted the whole thing. so i decided to separate each limbs from each other.

I used metallic blue instead of the normal  blue  and added a grey tone to the white armor pieces.

Completed HGUC Unicorn Gundam Axis Shock Mode Titanium finish

So it's done. The Green cam out darker than expected that's probably to do with the fact that it was painted on a clear red.

I was surprised by how stable this unit is. and also its size. Here it is with a same scale (1/144) Sengoku Astray

It stands a whole head above the astray, yes astray is not the biggest unit but i'm just thinking of the SNRI design suits like the victory gundam and the F91.

The titanium finish really do comes off easily. I'm glad it's a high grade kit and i don't feel as bad, leaving some nubs on the parts. I do what I can. I did modify the skirt to be independent. this made it more flimsy but looks much better when posing. It;s an easy modification, just use a hobby knife to part the middle section.

HGUC 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode Titanium Finish

So my second build (The build booster doesn't count) The Box art is really cool. However this red glow is what I call Berserker Banager. It's nice, but I really like the green Axis Shock glow at the end of Episode 5 and on the Full Armor version Ka.

Because it's a Titanium finish model I wanted to keep painting to a minimum. And for the record, the Coating is really really really fragile. Almost wipes off. Nevertheless it's cool. But I wanted it to have a green glow instead of red so all the clear red runner had been painted Clear green.

I also added a coat of iridescent medium, this gives the clear green sparkly flakes. When i assembled the upper torso and the backpack, the clear green may have been to dark.

Update: HGBF Build Booster and New Arrivals

I've a few things to post today. Firstly I finished my Build Booster. Having finished it, I now wish I'd bought the whole Build Strike Full Package.  I've plan to make a fully kitted model with both the Build booster and Build Booster Mk2. HGUC Nemo?

Truthfully I was a little disappointed when I open the box. There was only one colour. What do you expect from 400 yen. That's 4 USD and about 2.50 GBP. But after a little bit of colouring it looks pretty nice. I'm using this for practicing my masking tape technique.

Next, the good bit.

I'm a big fan of the Dom design. Can't say no to a good jet stream attack. I don't think I'll paint the Triple Dom set, It's all in the pose and bandai supplied the stand. I really like the colour of this Rick Dom so that green will stay. The Dreissen however will probably get a new paint scheme.

The Unicorn kits are really nice. I wonder how a HG Titanium finish will look. The Byarlant had a whole minute and a half of screen time that made it to my likable unit I wonder how a main gundam colour(white, blue red, yellow) would look. When I first saw the ReZEL in episode 1 I didn't like the colour scheme at all but I'm really like the General Revi colour. The Jesta Cannon is just cool. It might get the same colour as the ReZEL.

Let's go back in time a little. despite not having alot of screen time, the Gebera tetra was a very nice unit. especially when you know it;s actually a gundam GP04 unit. So I might give it the gundam colour too. The super gundam is a nice way to collect gundam mk 2.

Lastly I've the Extreme Gundam from the Gundam Extreme Vs. games. It actually came with a few clear blue runners. But the best bit is definitely the guitar beam rifle and the guitar case shield. the other unit is the Full Armor Gundam 7th, It's also from  a game, Gundam Battlefield record.

One extra picture

These were the boxes I bought when I was in Japan for X'mas

Completed HGBF 1/144 Sengoku Astray

It's done. I used the eye green gundam markers for the round green thinggy. This is the picture with gloss coating.

The Back View

I really like the shield. I don;t go with the full silver/titanium armor because i wanted to highlight the metallic red frame. I'm on the fence with the result.

So I went ahead and flat coat the whole thing.

One last picture,

This model has very little panel lines. Instead there are lots of shadow area. I tried to do what I can but without a paint brush and enamel paint it's kinda hard.

A whole bunch of HG models just arrived today. Will post a reaction too each model soon.

WIP, Sengoku Astray 1

So i'm a little jet lagged and waking up at 3 in the morning. Decided to get working on the Astray.  I wanted to work with the upper body first. painting the heads, torso, arms. Like previously mentioned I wanted a metallic scheme for the astray. actually since last post, I searched Google for metallic astray red frame and here is the result. Credit to Gundam Guys

This was pretty much what I wanted. Obviously mine won't be to such quality.

I'm preping the parts for easy removal by trimming the pegs and enlarging the holes. My pin vise hasn't arrived, so i'm using a round file to enlarge the hole.

Actually the v fins needed a little trimming to get on to the head.

Before and after Priming. I'm using Vallejo Grey Primer. This primer doesn't need to be thin down with anything but I just add a couple of drops of alcohol to the cup.

Here's the comparison between the original red on the runner and the metallic red I painted. I'm quite happy with the result. I didn't use metallic red colour, rather a layer of tamiya titanium silver and red clear coat.

And here is the head assembled.

I used the titanium silver for the face and back half of the head and vallejo silver for the front half.

HGBF 1/144 Sengoku Astray

So my first build will be the Custom Astray from Gundam Build Fighter. I know it's a shows for kids, but i'm kinda enjoying all the cameo and references. Also this astray is kinda cool.Actually in this series, Bandai did a much better job than the Gunpla builder designs. Although i'm skeptical about the star build system.

Back to this kit. I plan on painting it. but i'm not gonna deviate too much from the original colour. Just melee and red frame goes so well together. I contemplated changing it to green, gold or purple frame but doesn't seem right. and blue is reserved for Gai's blue frame only. However I will gives it a metallic look. titanium red seems to be the the thing right now with the sinaju and sazabi kits. For the armor, will probably be shades of silver and white.

I like looking through the coloured bits of the manual. This one actually have tips and inspiration for the gunpla. you can see a carboard box, I use for storing different Magic the gathering cards and storage for sub components so i can prepare for painting.

The Begining

Hi, I'm Pehshimaro. I'm starting a blog about building gunpla. I first build SD gunplas when i was 9-10 years old. I haven't really build any for the past 10 years But I've been following pretty much every TV shows and manga that I can get my hands on since I can't read Japanese.

I used to be content with just snapping the kit together and using stickers and that will  be it as far as my interest in gunpla goes. Well that changed once Sunrise and Bandai release Gundam build fighter as a mainstream anime. So i guess kudos to their marketing department. Not to mention, the release of Remastered Seed + SD and Gundam Unicorn and others gundam anime in full HD. It really bring out the mecha details.
I'm not that new to modelling but it had been a while. I used to collect/play Warhammer. Both 40k and fantasy. Dark elves, Chaos Tzeentch, Necron, Thousand Sons.

Now I'm at Clemson University in South Carolina, USA. Mechanical Engineering Major. And this is my set up.

Left to right: Spray booth, Cutting mat, paints and primers, vallejo, mr hobby, tamiya, Gundam markers and fine liners, clippers, hobby knife and files.

As you can see I've a few gunpla under the table. Build booster  Mk 1 and Mk2, Gundam Age Razor kit, HGUC Delta kai, HGUC Doven wolf Unicorn, HGUC Stark Jegan, System base 001. And on the table is the HGBF Sengoku Astray that I'll start working on.

I've more supplies and models coming in the post and will blog them as they arrive.

I'll sign off with my collection from Thailand
